Transparent Christian Magazine House Concert Series! June 27th!!
I am SO excited about this upcoming event, I can hardly stand it. I have been told by many people that this “Will not work in Nashville” because people see great music live all the time. I am going to try to break the Nashville curse and actually have a paid gigs for some outstanding artists.. I have invited author, poet, singer/songwriter David Teems, and award winning Singer/Songwriter Brad Reynolds to my home for a concert on June 27th. Brad won a Momentum Award for his song “Anyway” this year, (song of the year). The profits are going directly to the artists, and they have the rare opportunity of being able to play a paying gig without traveling out of state. These two performed together at a charity event that was sponsored by Transparent Christian Magazine and again at the Blue Bird. individually they are amazing, but together there is a certain magic that you DO NOT WANT TO MISS. Please RSVP to secure a spot. We only have 30 seats available. E-Mail me here if you are going to attend. Jason@TransparentYou.com.
Magazine Overview
When our lives reflect the brightest Light, we become transparent.
I was searching for an online outlet for my recent interest in blogging. The blogs that I am writing are stories with some spiritual observation, stories from my life that had some bit of relavence or nugget that I have learned about myself on this journey of Christianity. However I couldn’t find something for a “modern day Christian.”
I struggled to find something that felt relevant to me. Something that was not overly “Religious” and that spoke to my heart in a way that I could relate too.
I have come to understand a bit of the frustration that Jesus had towards the Pharisees. I did not understand “Christian Speak” and would often get frustrated at the judgment I felt at the hands of well meaning (and not so well meaning) Christians. I have learned that I am not alone in these feelings.
I have met and have been inspired by Christians that are real…That are warriors.
Christians that struggle and win and are not afraid to share their experiences for the betterment of others.
Christians that are willing to share these experiences, even if it means that they don’t look “perfect” in the eyes of a traditional church, or a traditional church attendee.
I believe that I am “saved by God’s grace” (I hope that’s not too religious for you) however I still want to try to improve my life while I’m here on earth. I feel that my life is a spiritual journey, and my Christianity is not a destination but a work in progress. I want to share that journey with others, in an attempt to serve and support OUR journey.

In addition to original writings, Transparent Christian Magazine will also include music, movie and gadget reviews, original photos, original poetry and a monthly interview with someone on their journey.

Becky,
Blessings to you today! The TCM widget looks great on your site, you are right, we both like blue!! Thank you for putting it on there. I was listening to your song snippets on your website http://www.beckycarey.com and the production on your cd sounds awesome!
I love the verse that you quoted on your blog: Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Kind of goes along with your “Help me Stay True” song.
Peace to you today!

Hey Jason,
I just happened upon this site. Sounds very interesting–like something I’ve been looking for. I find myself getting a bit peeved with “perfect” Christians who don’t seem to struggle at all.
It’s nice to know someone out there is willing to be honest about that part of Christianity. I think this kind of honesty will help many people with the stuff they don’t (or can’t) talk about.

Norman Lee, Child Of God and others …
Norman Lee is a very special person, he turned
his back on fame and the bright lights to
write music for God and his children, young,
old – and in between.

People want to see real Christians. They want
to see real men and women doing what they say they believe.
I know I am not perfect and noone is but we have a
hope in Jesus that is why He went to the cross and died for us.
I know the lingo for Christians today can turn those
off that are seeking a better understanding of God.
God is quite simple in His word in the bible.
I also know we need to pray that God will give us the wisdom to better understand Him and His word.
I pray that this ministry grows and you reach those that are searching for God.
Bless you
